As soon i saw there was a Linkin Park remix contest coming i was really excited! Crazy!
Then i heard about the rules and it seemed people from the Netherlands and other countries can't enter the contest due legal issues, wich sucks big!
The price is getting your remix track on their album wich is really huge offcourse!
Eventhough my chances are like zero, i still remixed the track "The Catalyst" from their new album "A Thousand Suns" coming this september.

Today i worked like 9 hours on it, trying figure out how i want the song to build up and placing the vocal parts correct.
I'm really happy with the result i got right now, and i can't wait to post it up here.

Plus i've been remixing other songs 2 wich i will post up within these weeks, stay tuned.

Haven't really posted what's going on right now on the music tip, quick update

1. I've became Batja!'s hypeman for his live shows
2. Been practising song on the guitar for new guitar covers
3. Been submitting beats for several projects, one of 'em is from Bennie Blanco, Philly beat tape, gotta submit for Redvii's album.
4. Working on LBF an album Batja! & me working on.
5. My Beat Tapes, yes i said it, tapes! wasn't feeling some beats so replaced them with new ones.

Batja! & have been working for some months on our new album
the process so far is great! soon we're going to record the vocals, all the productions are almost done, the lyrics are done!
In the afternoon Batja! is going to perform at the Zieke Zuiden Jam (Queensday festival)
So we've been rehearsing alot these couple of months, so time to get out and kill it!

New Drumkits! Coming Soon!

It's been like pff, some time ago, i posted a drumkit here.
after that i haven't posted anything. Not saying that i got lazy and stopped making drums, don't get me wrong i love tweaking with plugins gettin the drum sound i want! But haven't really focussed putting drums aside to share.
Since couple weeks ago i started collecting drums i wanted to share, and it's not going to be a kit with hundreds drums etc, it's just a small kit but the drums are ready 2 go!
Stay tuned i'ma posted it soon!

I submitted one beat, actually i was going for a kinda sad dramatic authentic feel.
Basically layed down the sample chops and played everything around it.

The Beat Tape

The beat tape is done, i only gotta shoot photo's for the cover, but all the beats are done like a month ago.
It's been over a month i've been here, in the mean time i was working on some new beats because i'm currently working on a project. Can't much about it.
I feel it really going to raise the bar here in the local scene, hopefully.
Also at the same time i'm working on my second beat tape wich is almost done.
I'll post a tracklist when it's done and hopefully get the cover and such done and upload the download link on here. The title of the beat tape is "Taste Good Like Soul Food"

I haven't post any download links to download sites or other blogspots because i haven't been searching for new ones, because i'm really tied up working on my first very own beat tape. Basically the idea came when i saw Obie Trice was coming with the Special Reserve album, and i wanted to make something like that sounded like the stuff he did in the past and give it some of the Michel flavour to it and make it a bit special than the regular beat would be. At this point i'm like 6/10 songs deep and i think it's really going to get great responses. My friend and i had talks about the cover we're going to do and i thought of the concept what i should look like and he came with the location where it's best to shoot at.

Beatmaking Process

I've been working on a punkrockish beat (my second beat outside the hiphop box)
and the process so far has been great although i've recorded alot of guitar parts because certain part were sloppy and sounded a bit muddy, i might re-recorded some part again. But the idea is captured. It's a lot of work to get the drums right. It's not like the typical drumpattern rhythm you usually do. I'm trying to make everything perfect as possible wich is a one big task and a challenge.

Also Starting Monday the 26th October, i'm starting on a beat tape with FP's Gilson
This week i'm working less hours on my dayjob in a able to knock out some beats.
I'll post some pictures of my working on it (might be cool to see the actual work in process)

Finaly Weekend

After working my ass off and hardly made beats this week, finaly it's Saturday!!
Most guys and girls my ages go out to clubs having a good time, but i rather spend my time working on new stuff and having that work ethic like Major signed artist.
Today i made 2 beats wich they sound really cool and different from my previous stuff.
I posted it on soundclick wich is also on myspace, wih some batch of beats i've made within this couple month's.

Also went to the Guitar shop to check out a new guitar i want to create that 60's/70's classic rock sound. Asked some information about it and the price, i always do my homework when i want to do something, wich is a good thing to prepare yourself.

I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Michel Tshilomba, born on October 31th 1987 Utrecht (The Netherlands).(21 years old)
I'ma a Emcee and Beatmaker. Emcee first Beatmaker second.
Making music is such a great outlet for me, i started out writing lyrics and was done rapping over someone elses beats and wanted to make my own one.
Some of you know i make beats and always active on Futureproducers. Some know me as "That guy who does guitar covers on Youtube" and some know me as an Emcee.

Right now i'm working on my EP wich contains all the beats produced/composed by me.
It's basically an EP fully produced/composed by me and i'm also doing the vocal parts, rapping.
Although i've came up with a good concept the title remains still untitled, but i'ma fill you in on the process who things are going on, and post pictures of me having fun or just mess around with stuff or just doing what i'm doing... having fun.

I got some footage of me rapping but this quality is not that good plus also primarly i was f*cking around and it's a old footage haha lol

FL Studio tutorials

I'm really disapointed my motherboard died, so i can't make beats (tracks) or kits for now.
But i'll be getting a new motherboard it's being taking care of.

In the mean time i'll still be posting links and usefull stuff here.

R.I.P. ROC RAIDA

Anthony Williams p/k to the world as The Legendary Grand Master Roc Raida has passed away unexpectedly today Sept 19 2009. He is survived by his wife, 3 lovely daughters, mother and friends. Raida was recently in an mixed martial arts accident, something that he has been practicing for several years. Although he had under gone 2 surgeries with great success, was released to an inpatient physical therapy facility and was in great spirits the past few days. This morning he started to have complications and passed. The family asks for privacy at this time.

It's bad all the great people are passing away in '09.
I Remember getting to know The X-ecutioners with the song "It's Going Down" Featering Linkin Park.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. R.I.P
